California and Oregon

Sorry, but I haven't figured out how to add music to my blog like I did on Eva's last year. The tools I used then are no longer available.

Here's the progress map where the blue line shows our planned route, and the green line shows where we actually went.

Our first campground was at Manchester up the Northern California coast where it was fog, fog, fog... and also fog.

The birds at this rest area seemed to have been well trained.

Say what?

The Smith river... and I forgot my fishin' gear.

So we headed inland to Grant's Pass to get away from the fog. Did we ever! It was 117 degrees at 6:00pm. Whew!

  1. Hi! (Need to change my photo and name titles but don't have time to do it now!) Coast looks cool; Grants Pass looks hot! Has it cooled now?

We were just up on the coast a few weeks back & loved Mendocino area Van Damme State Park - not as crowded, and close to town. Hwy 1 was VERY curvy, though, up to Humboldt Univ area.

Are u on the Oregon coast now?
